Qatari Minister of State for International Cooperation and Acting Minister of Business and Trade H.E. Dr. Khalid bin Mohammad Al-Attiyah and HRH The Duke of York, the UK Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, have signed an Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement (IPPA) between Qatar and the United Kingdom.

Speaking at the signing on Tuesday 27 October, Saud Jassem al-Jufairi, Director of Economic Affairs Department at the Ministry of Business and Trade, said that the agreement was a result of several years’ discussions and that it will support investments in both counties especially the oil and gas sectors.
