We work to help British companies succeed in Qatar and provide a wide-range of consular services to British Nationals. The Embassy is divided into a number of different teams:
The Chancery performs the political functions of the Embassy, and handles political relations between the British Government and the Qatari Government. This includes co-operation on good governance, democracy, and contact on a wide range of foreign policy issues. See Working with Qatar for more information.
The UK Trade and Investment team represents UK interests in Qatar on all aspects of trade and trade policy. For further information please visit Doing Business.
The Consular Section deals with all consular issues, including lost passports, registration of UK nationals and cases of distress. For further details of consular and passport issues, please see Help for British Nationals.
The Visa Section of the Embassy deals with all visa issues and enquiries. Please also see the Visa Application website for more information.
The Press & Public Affairs Section is responsible for all dealings with the local and international media, and for the disseminating of information to key contacts. Please visit the Newsroom for further information.
