British Police Certificate

British nationals coming to Qatar to settle may require a police certificate from the UK. You should check whether this is a requirement with your employer in Qatar before leaving the UK. The Metropolitan Police website has information on how to apply for a Subject Access Request and links to all UK police forces. Residents of Scotland should visit Disclosure Scotland.

Qatar Police Clearance Report

1. British nationals that require a Police Clearance Report to cover their time spent in Qatar (either to change sponsorship within Qatar or to take up work requiring a check in another country) need to begin the process by obtaining a Statutory Declaration from the Embassy. To arrange a Statutory Declaration, contact the Embassy consular section on 496 2000 on via email.
2. Once the Declaration has been signed, you need to take this to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Consular building for stamping. The MFA consular building is located behind Al Seef Hotel.
3. You should then take this document with 3 photographs to the Criminal Evidence and Information Department (CEID) who will generate a Police Clearance Report for you. CEID is located on Sports City Road, opposite Tebah Gardens Compound.
